About Smoke-N-Focus Media

At Smoke-N-Focus Media, we believe that every person and fire has a story worth telling. Born from the smoke of real struggles, our mission is simple: focus on what matters—sharing stories of healing, resilience, and everyday heroes who show up when life gets hard.
We use cameras, podcasts, and BBQ pits as our tools—not just to create content, but to build connection.
Whether it’s a veteran sharing their truth, a caregiver offering wisdom, or a community stepping up for one another, we highlight the people and places that deserve the spotlight.
From deep conversations on Pap-Pap’s Porch to the smoky deliciousness of a cookout, we bring people together—one story, one meal, one moment at a time.
This isn’t just media. This is mission-driven storytelling.
And we’re just getting started.

Fuel the Fire. Clear the Smoke. Trust the Process.

About Me

Hi, I’m Greg Bicknell—founder of Smoke-N-Focus Media, proud veteran, storyteller, and Pap-Pap.
In May of 2018, my life, as my family and I knew it, changed dramatically. Since then, I've found myself trying to figure out the new me.
The pain and recovery hasn't just been physically demanding, it scrambled my emotions, challenged my beliefs, and significantly changed the way I relate, respond, and interact with people in my life.
With a recognized need for change, Smoke-N-Focus was born. It grew out of tough days, raw conversations, doctor visits, and family struggles. It was carried forward by a quiet, persistent hope to walk alongside others facing their own battles… some with an even heavier load than mine.
This isn't just a media company...it's a calling. Through photography, interviews, podcasts, and community gatherings, the mission is to highlight those who quietly carry the torch of service in one way or another: veterans, caregivers, unsung heroes, and everyday people showing empathy and compassion in extraordinary ways.
These days, whether I’m behind the camera, a mic, or sitting by a smoker, my goal is ultimately he same...to connect people through shared stories, shared meals, and shared moments.
If life has taught me anything, it’s that the hardest moments often come without warning...and they rarely make sense in the moment. I’ve faced pain, setbacks, and seasons where just getting through the day felt like a win...but somewhere between the smoke and the stillness, I found a way to breathe again...I hope you do too.

Through this whole thing, this is what I've learned:

When life sucks…Smoke-N-Focus.
When life really sucks...Smoke-N-Focus on Pap-Pap’s Porch.

I invite you to join me.
